Hatching Eggs
In addition to incubating eggs for our own use, we do supply eggs for hatching by yourself, using incubator or broody hen.
Availability of the eggs from the different breeds varies of course throughout the year, but please contact us if there is a particular requirement you have that is not shown below, we will do our best.
Hatching eggs have to be ordered, to ensure we supply you with freshly laid eggs.
To ensure minimum delay in reaching you and minimum handling through the postal system, our eggs are despatched to you by Next Day Special Delivery, and are fully labelled for transit.

Packaging is normally in purpose made polystyrene boxes, but if you prefer, we can pack in conventional fibre egg boxes with bubble.

On receipt, the eggs should be carefully unpacked, and rested for 24 hours. Keep the egg pointed end down, and on a slope, and turn at least twice in the 24 hours. This prevents the yolk settling to one side of the egg. Alternatively, a purpose made 'egg rocker' can be used - (see photo below.)

Eggs sent through the postal system unfortunately cannot all be guaranteed to hatch, as we have no control over the handling they receive in transit. All our eggs are fertile, and are sample checked by us with a heart monitor, and incubating them ourselves. However, please do keep in touch with us, and let us know your hatch rates, we will help all we can, particularly if you require advice or guidance on incubation conditions
